This SKS scope mount from Choate is investment cast out of 4140 Steel. Once installed you can continue to clean you SKS as normal without removing the mount. Mount has enough height to retain use of the open sights. Will require gunsmithing to install. Includes four 8-40 screws. Drill and tapping of the receiver is required.

SPECS: Includes four (4) 8-40 screws. Hole spacing: 3" center-to-center between the outer mounting holes and 2" between the inner mounting holes.

Tato montáž pro puškohled SKS od výrobce Choate je vyrobena metodou investičního lití z oceli 4140. Po instalaci můžete s čištěním vaší SKS pokračovat jako obvykle bez nutnosti demontáže montáže. Montáž je dostatečně vysoká, aby umožnila použití otevřených mířidel. Pro instalaci je vyžadováno zásah zbrojíře. Součástí jsou čtyři šrouby 8-40. Je nutné provést vrtání a závitování přijímače.

Most Accurate SKS Scope Mount (18.12.2014)

It was emotionally difficult to drill and tap the receiver because it's an irreversible change, but was easy to actually do. A drill press is a must.

This firmly attaches the scope to the gun and has better accuracy than the multitude of other options I've tried.

4 stars instead of 5 because the casting is somewhat rough, but it doesn't affect function.

Only practical alternative I found (23.2.2015)

Requires a bit of effort and measurements to install, but provides a very steady and practical rail. Be careful not to cover any part of the serial number or importer name. and be aware that you probably will have to trim a slice of the stock. SKSs have very hard receivers, so get a couple of extra high quality bids before starting, to avoid frustrations.

Best SKS mount Iâve found (30.12.2017)

This is the best and most solid scope mount I have found for the Sks rifle. I have two Soviet Sks rifles so one of them will be getting this mount installed on it. The casting is a little rough but everything lines up perfect so far. Will let you know how it performs but I imagine I will have good results as there wonât be any rattle to worry about as it will become part of the rifle. Plus, Brownells is one of the few companies that ships to Canada. Even with delivery (no duty on items under $100) it was cheaper than buying it over here. Thank you Brownells for sending a quality product.
