Ruger LC9 Firesights (4.4.2014)

The aluminum housing is very weak due to the thin profile. Unless enough material is filed off so the rear sight freely slides in, the rear sight is unusable. Any force applied to the sight will peen metal out of place.

I have isntalled other Firesight sights without this problem.

Like any other fixed sight, these require fitting to your gun.

These sights have an awesome sight picture, but if you are planning on putting them on a gun for concealed carry, you will have issues with holsters. The front sight blade is huge, very tall and does not holster in a molded plastic Blackhawk paddle I own, and it sticks making it hard to draw in my leather desantis slide holster. If you are buying for a target gun, I would recommend, but if you intend on carring the gun find another option. I bought mine right from Williams.

These are awesome sights for competition. Very fast to aquire front sight. Easy install. However they come with no instructions. When I first got them I thought they had sent me the wrong rear sight. Later after several minutes I figured out they they use part of your old sight. Some instructions would have been nice. They are made of high quality material and the fiber optics are bright. However the front sight is very tall. It will not fit my black hawk holster but it does fit my comp tac holster well.

Good sights (23.10.2011)

I shoot IDPA matches several times a month and these sights are a huge improvement over the factory sights. Very easily to adjust windage and elevation. After going to the range I noticed an immediate improvement in my shot groups and was able to aquire a target faster. Down side is the front side is very tall. Will not fit in my blackhawk holster however it fits well in my comp tac holster which is my prefered holster any way. Definatly worth the money.
